Fall Semester Career Clinic

BSN Atrium

Given the increased level of competition for jobs being faced by students today, coupled with the turbulent state of affairs in the global economy, there is no better time than the present for job-seekers to strengthen their résumés. To satisfy this growing need, the Office of Employer Relations in the USF College of Business hosts the Career Clinic for business students.
Armed with clipboards, stethoscopes, and white lab coats, “doctors” (HR professionals) are ready to take on their “patients” (business students with under-the-weather résumés). Mimicking a walk-in medical clinic, HR professionals from USF join recruiters from a myriad of partner corporations and smaller companies to diagnose problems, heal ailing résumés, answer questions, and prescribe industry-specific feedback for students. Patients flow through the atrium at a steady pace with a short wait time for appointments – no more than fifteen minutes each.
Not only is this event fun for the students involved, but the resume reviewers, many of whom are also USF alumni, admit how good it feels to give back to the university community.
