Without undergraduate business degree

Prerequisite courses (16 credit hours) encompass three areas: business decision making, business measurement, and market orientation
NOTE: The Certificate in Business Foundations can fulfill the prerequisite requirement for those interested in "testing the waters" before applying for admission to the MBA program.
- Required advanced core courses:
17 credit hours - Electives (five courses):
15 credit hours
With undergraduate business degree
- Business degree must be from an AACSB-accredited institution, within the last seven years, and grades of B or better in the Foundation courses
- Minimum upper-level 3.0 GPA in undergraduate program
- Requires non-credit professional bootcamp course, refreshing student knowledge in the business concepts, business decision making, and business measurement
- Required advanced core courses:
17 credit hours - Electives (6 courses):
18 credit hours
Step 2: Program Core
Regardless of path, all students are required to complete 17 credit hours of advanced core courses.
Topics include:
- social, ethical, and legal systems
- operations management
- communication skills for managers
- financial analysis
- strategic business analysis
- organizational behavior and leadership
- leadership speaker series
- a capstone course in business (Integrated Business Applications)
Step 3: Electives
Students will be able to customize their program through elective courses. For example, those who are interested in finance can take several courses in the subject. The college has departments in accounting, finance, information systems, management, and marketing, as well as entrepreneurship.
Students customizing their program can also pursue electives outside the College of Business, such as courses in public health or engineering.
Students who earned an undergraduate business degree will take 18 credit hours of electives while students without an undergraduate business degree will take 15 credit hours of electives.
