- Work efficiently in a team environment and demonstrate leadership.
In addition, students gain an international perspectives and thorough understanding of today's global economic, political, and social environment.
Program Structure
The MBA is a 37-48 credit hour program and consists of a series of courses in three categories: 1) Common Body of Knowledge or “Tool” courses, 2) required courses, and 3) specialization or elective courses, which are determined based on the area of specialization (also referred to as tracks). The program culminates with a two-semester Integrated Business Applications course sequence.
The number of hours required to earn the degree varies based on the student’s undergraduate degree program. Students who earned an undergraduate degree in business or economics from an AACSB-accredited institution within the past seven years may be eligible to waive Tool courses.
Fast-track Options (Diagram)
By taking advantage of USF’s fast-track schedule, students have the option to take two extra classes per year, shortening the duration of the program significantly. In a traditional MBA program, courses are taken in 16-week blocks, but at USF, we offer these courses in 12-weeks with extended class sessions. In addition, some courses are offered in 4-week or 8-week sections. Special one-week 40-hour courses are also offered during winter and spring breaks.
