Murad Antia
Instructor
Murad Antia teaches financial statement analysis and investments and works with the College’s top scholars in the USF Financial Services Education Center. The recipient of the university’s Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in 2004, Antia is also the faculty advisor for the Student Finance Association.
A Chartered Financial Analyst, Antia is an expert in the areas of portfolio management and has many years experience managing equity, trust, foundation, and retirement accounts. He has published articles in the Financial Analysts Journal, the Journal of Investing, the Journal of Financial Research, the Investment Management Review, and the Journal of Multinational Financial Management, among others. He also reviews books for the Financial Analyst Journal.
Antia earned a PhD from the University of Houston and an MBA from Duke University. He has held senior-level positions in several area financial institutions, including Barnett Banks Trust Co. and AmSouth Bank. He served as an assistant professor at USF for two years early in his career and returned to the university in 2000.
