Robert F. Welker
Associate Professor
An associate professor who teaches courses in business law, Robert Welker is a member of the School of Accountancy and has been a full-time member of USF’s faculty since 1966. He was admitted by examination to practice law in Florida, Indiana (inactive), and Pennsylvania (inactive).
His research has been published in the American Business Law Journal four times and he has written chapters for textbooks and review course materials.
Welker has a BA in political science from Earlham College, an MBA from USF, and a JD from Indiana University. He is a member of the Temple Terrace Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Indiana Bar Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association, American Business Law Association, and Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council. He has served in numerous roles within these organizations. At USF, he serves on several departmental committees, including a leadership role within the USF Chapter of the United Faculty of Florida; he currently serves as a member of the collective bargaining team and chair for the political action committee and senator for that organization.

Welker’s main research interest is collective bargaining in the public sector.
