Janet McDonald
Assistant Professor
Janet McDonald is an assistant professor in the School of Accountancy. She teaches a course in intermediate financial accounting.
McDonald, who is a frequent American Accounting Association conference participant, presented “Is Audit Committee Diligence Affected by Audit Committee Composition, Authority, and Resources?” at the American Accounting Association Southwest Regional Meeting. She has also attended the Lone Star Conference and the Intensive Doctoral Seminar in Entrepreneurship. Her research interests include tax and financial reporting.
She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Auburn University and earned her PhD in accounting from Texas A&M University. She previously served as a lecturer at Texas A&M University. In the past, she has worked with Deloitte and Touche, LLP in the Private Client Services Division.
